Since opening its doors in 1988, Inline Lighting has built a reputation for helping homeowners, builders, and designers bring their spaces to life through thoughtful, beautifully designed lighting. Today, the company has more than 700 employees across five states, including 48 employees in Montgomery and three full-time team members at its local showroom. With a focus on both residential and commercial projects, Inline Lighting offers the latest styles and price points for new construction and remodels, backed by ALA Lighting Certified Specialists and Interior Designers.
What sets Inline Lighting apart is its specialized knowledge and passion for lighting and lighting design. The team takes the time to understand each project and help customers find the right fixtures, styles, and solutions to accentuate their spaces. With a combined 57 years of experience in the lighting industry among its Montgomery team, Inline has developed the expertise to serve projects of every size and style, from complete home builds to helping a customer choose the perfect color temperature for a light bulb.
That commitment to excellence has earned Inline Lighting recognition as an American Lighting Association Showroom of the Year honoree, while its team members have also earned notable industry and community honors. Candace Grice has been recognized as a Women Who Shape Alabama honoree, served as Home Builders Association of Alabama PWB Co-Chair and as GMHBA PWB president for three years, and was named a GMHBA Associate of the Year. Alison McCain has also served as a past president of the GMHBA PWB, reflecting Inline Lighting’s longstanding involvement and leadership within the homebuilding industry. Inline Lighting has also provided lighting for award-winning homes, further demonstrating its expertise in creating spaces where design and function work together.
Looking ahead, Inline Lighting is continuing to grow, adding stores and distribution centers to better serve its customers. A significant milestone in that journey came in 2013, when Inline became a 100% employee-owned ESOP. That ownership model has created a team deeply invested in the company’s success, encouraging employees to go the extra mile for customers and for one another. For Inline Lighting, the philosophy is simple: they love lighting, and they bring that enthusiasm to every project, no matter how big or small.
