Southern Posies began in 2012 with a love for flowers and thoughtful celebrations. Now approaching its 14th year, the company has grown into a full-service planning, event design and floral design company serving clients throughout Alabama and beyond. In addition to its founder, Southern Posies has a core team of three full-time women supported by an experienced floral and event team of approximately 20 professionals. The company’s family-oriented foundation also extends to the founder’s husband, whose creative, financial and hands-on support has played an important role in its continued growth.
Southern Posies specializes in creating meaningful, beautifully layered celebrations through intentional planning, thoughtful event design and artful, garden-inspired florals. Services include full-service wedding planning and design, creative direction, event design, floral design and corporate and social events. The company also offers floral workshops and arrangement deliveries for homes, businesses, celebrations and everyday moments. By bringing planning, design and florals together under one roof, Southern Posies creates cohesive experiences where everything from the overall guest experience to the smallest floral detail is considered through the same creative lens.

With extensive planning experience, the team understands the timelines, logistics, venue requirements, vendor coordination and behind-the-scenes details that make an event successful. Every design is created specifically for the client, taking into account their story, personality, priorities and sense of place. That intentional approach has earned Southern Posies recognition as a 2025 Wezoree nominee for Best Wedding Planner in Alabama, along with features in Brides, Style Me Pretty, and 100 Layer Cake. The team has also designed celebrations throughout the country and most recently created an 80-foot floral installation for Auburn University’s summer commencement.
Looking ahead, Southern Posies is entering an exciting season of growth with an expanded floral studio and production space designed for greater production capabilities, education, collaboration and community gatherings. The space will host floral workshops, holiday classes, creative collaborations and other opportunities to connect. While continuing to serve a select number of full-planning clients, Southern Posies is also expanding its event design and floral services for weddings, corporate events and social celebrations. After nearly 15 years, the company’s greatest achievement remains the trust it has earned from clients and creative partners.
