Health Services Incorporated (HSI) is a patient-centered healthcare system committed to enhancing the lives of families and individuals. Established as a free health clinic in the basement of Montgomery City Hall in April 1968, HSI has grown to a team of 270 dedicated staff members and now offers a range of affordable, comprehensive health and wellness services.  

Health Services Inc. operates 11 health centers,4 school-based health centers, 3 medical mobile units, and 2 wellness centers, each extending a helping hand to community members who may otherwise struggle to access care. As Alabama’s oldest federally qualified communityhealth center, HSI is renowned for its deep-rooted commitment to addressing community needs and overcoming barriers to treatment.  

Throughout its history, Health Services has received many accolades including a Joint Commission Accreditation Certification for Ambulatory Care, a PrimaryCare Medical Home Designation, and recognition by the National Association of Community HealthCenters (NACHC) Advocacy Center of Excellence. These honors reflect HSI’s commitment to advocacy and quality care.  

With no signs of slowing down, HSI aims to increase its services to ensure their reach and impact on the communities they serve. Two new medical mobile units and one dental mobile unit will equip the organization with more opportunities to offer critical services to those who need them most.
