Anchored Spine and Physical Therapy LLC

The Face of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Opening its doors in July 2025, Anchored Spine and Pelvic Therapy was founded with a mission to bring specialized, whole-body physical therapy to women and families in the River Region. While the clinic itself is new, its foundation is built on more than a decade of experience. Founder and physical therapist Julie Moore has been practicing since 2013 and specializing in pelvic health since 2019, bringing a wealth of knowledge and deep empathy to every patient she serves.

Currently a one-woman practice, Anchored Spine and Pelvic Therapy is poised for growth, with plans to expand in early 2026 to meet the increasing demand for specialized pelvic and spine care. The clinic offers both pelvic floor physical therapy and spine and extremity therapy through the McKenzie Method (MDT). As one of just four pelvic floor-trained therapists in Montgomery—and the only certified MDT provider—Moore offers a rare and highly specialized skill set to her patients.

What truly sets Anchored Spine apart is the personal approach to care. Every session is one-on-one, with the same therapist from start to finish. For busy moms or those unable to travel, mobile physical therapy visits are also available, providing treatment in the comfort of a patient’s home. While these visits are cash-based, clinic-based services are insurance-friendly, and affordability remains a top priority.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Moore brings compassion rooted in lived experience. As a mother of three, she deeply understands the challenges of pregnancy, postpartum healing, and finding balance through life’s transitions. Her care goes beyond the physical, often creating safe spaces where patients can share their stories, knowing they’re met with empathy and understanding.

The vision for Anchored Spine and Pelvic Therapy goes far beyond a single clinic. With plans for classes, workshops, and collaborations, Moore hopes to build the River Region’s first fully operational pelvic health center. Her ultimate goal is to help reduce Alabama’s high maternal mortality rates by uniting providers and making women’s health services more accessible.

Even in its early days, the clinic has already celebrated wins—from finding the perfect location among community-minded neighbors to the overwhelming support from patients and friends who have cheered on this new chapter. And in a beautiful reflection of its mission, Anchored Spine offers pro bono pelvic health services to women who have experienced pregnancy loss, ensuring that every woman has access to compassionate care.

At Anchored Spine and Pelvic Therapy, healing isn’t just about treatment—it’s about hope, empowerment, and a commitment to helping every patient feel whole again.
